Special Interest English Language Programmes

A unique and exciting addition to our list of programmes is our English for Special Interests programme. These are short courses of four week duration run between May and September for small groups of learners and are tailored specifically to suit the needs, interest and language ability of the group.

This is a way of learning English through a special interest such as Art, Cookery, Fashion, Photography or History. As the basis for these courses an expert or specialist in the field is invited along and to present, demonstrate or speak to the group each week.  Students will have the opportunity to interact with the speaker/presenter and to develop specialist knowledge and vocabulary of their subject. Students will also undertake practical tasks or assignments around the theme of their special interest and by the end of the course will have compiled a portfolio of their own work and will have had the opportunity to present a formal presentation.

The courses start from May to September each year
